Particularly suitable for leaders of small and medium-sized business enterprises, the Bachelor Degree in Business Administration is designed to offer practice-oriented academic study. The emphasis on practical experience is reflected in the backgrounds of business-science and economics lecturers, who are able to combine their knowledge within the framework of an academic degree.

Offered by IfM in cooperation with the FKPV College in Celje, Slovenia with the principle “From Practice, for Practice”, the goal-oriented training modules are presented during a Thursday to Saturday time-frame which guarantees flexibility for students and an excellent base from which to learn applicable business strategies.

Top sports and studies

Many professional athletes including those from the areas of alpine and Nordic skiing as well as soccer, Judo, fencing, wrestling, shooting, triathlon - and many more - are studying at the IfM as the flexibility provided by the IfM allows them to achieve an academic degree during their active career.

Admission Criteria

University entrance diploma; examination for Master Craftsman´s Diploma; entrepreneur examination; matriculation standard; University of Applied Sciences standard or equivalent qualification. This Bachelor Degree is offered in cooperation with the College FKPV in Celje, Slovenia.

Course Content and Construction

Block courses are held in a time window from Thursday to Saturday. The study structure is coordinated by the IfM team and planned according to the work commitments of the student.

In order to achieve maximum flexibility, the Course is of modular construction with 14 compulsory modules covering the following subjects:

  • Business administration
  • Being an Entrepreneur
  • Intercultural communication
  • International marketing
  • Organizational marketing and sales
  • Management theory
  • Staff Management and staff management sociology
  • Project management
  • Purchasing management
  • Accounting
  • Transport and logistics
  • Contract law

In addition to their home studies, presentations and course-work, potential graduates must produce and defend a Bachelor Thesis as a conclusion to their Degree and the subject matter may extend to the presentation of a business project or management problem with which they have actually dealt in the course of their work. Every student will be personally coached for the bachelor-thesis by a lecturer together with the head of the Degree Programme.

The Course is of three-year duration, during which attendance is mandatory for 60 days.
